A boracay wedding!

A love affair that started in the Manila party scene, matured in the culinary world of Beverly Hills , California , culminated in a wedding with blue skies and white sands as a background.

Anthony Arrieta Raymond, an established chef of the Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel, son of Bais pedigree, retired pharmaceuticals executive Carlos Bell “Pom” Teves Raymond, Jr. and socialite of the extensive Bais Villanueva clan, Maria Belina “Linette” Villanueva Arrieta, married Jennie Punsalan, daughter of equally Pampanga pedigree Victor Quizon Punsalan and Yolanda Mendoza Punsalan.

The nuptial rite was celebrated at the strike of four in the afternoon in the Holy Rosary Parish Church in the world famed Boracay Island . Beach chic was the de rigueur attire and aqua/turquoise the color motif for the ladies and cream color for the men. The “tres” intimate church had a deluge of mini-white orchids and ferns that flooded the aisles and hung from the ceiling. A heavenly sight indeed!

After the short and sweet exchange of vows, cocktails were served at the beachfront of the devastatingly beautiful Discovery Shores . Wedding pictures were taken there “aussi” with the orange and silver radiant sunset in the background. Guests downed Mojitos, Blue Discovery Margaritas, spirits and fine wines, nibbled on Japanese “bocas” and succulent oysters, shrimps and all kinds of shellfish and undulated with the pulsating beat of an ethnic drumbeater's ensemble. Dinner, another exquisite tableau all its own, comprised of Pumpkin Soup, Filipino grills, Black Angus rib eye, a fabulous salad bar highlighted by a Potato and Apple coated in pesto masterpiece and a dessert buffet of all kinds, each varying in degrees of sweetness. The wedding cake of blue fondant and starfish and shells decorations was too beautiful to touch.

The mostly jet set guests from Manila, Singapore, Taiwan, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico, of course Bais folks too, including Ambassador Philippe J. and Edna Lhuillier and family, Cirio, Annabelle, Chris and Maribeth, and Cj and Mel Santiago, Randy and Cecile Limjoco and cousins from both the Teves and Villanueva clans, danced and kicked white sand to the animated music of Groupo Mari Teves till almost sunrise.

It was a most memorable event for all. Congratulations and best wishes go to Anthony and Jennie!.........................NOUS!*
