The National Food Authority collected P2.21 million in license and registration fees in 2007 from 1,904 grains traders in Negros Occidental, records of the NFA show.
Last year, the NFA Enforcement and Investigation Team also apprehended 56 grains businessmen and collected administrative fines totaling P65,000.
In 2006, NFA raked in P2.06 million in license and registration fees from 1,818 grains traders while in 2005, P2.52 million from 1,727 grains traders.

Batapa-Sigue said Chairman Anthony Roxas - Chua III of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology and Executive Director Oscar Sañez of the Business Processing Association of the Philippine emphasized the need for all “next wave cities” to work hard in the areas of talent development, business environment and government support.
