DA satellite office
closed for disinfection

The satellite office of the Department of Agriculture Western Visayas in Bacolod City is temporarily closed for one week for cleaning and disinfection, its regional director, Remelyn Recoter, said yesterday.

She said that even if the satellite office at the Capitol area, beside Land Bank of the Philippines, is closed since yesterday until September 11, there will be no work suspension among the personnel.

She said the staff will adopt an alternative work arrangement, such as work from home and field activities.

For official business transaction, one can contact Ruth Torreverde, officer-in-charge of its satellite office in Bacolod, or Recoter.

Meanwhile, Recoter said that DA has a very crucial role to play during the pandemic, as they affirmed their commitment to corruption-free governance in the pursuit of agricultural productivity and development.

She said the agency’s Rice Resiliency Project will continue with the additional P5 billion national fund, as well as the Kadiwa marketing system and all other programs for livestock, corn, and high-value crops.*
