Dumaguete oks P18.5M hazard pay

Dumaguete Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo lauded the Sangguniang Panlungsod members yesterday for approving the supplemental appropriation of P18.5 million as hazard pay for city government workers who have rendered services in line with the fight against Covid-19.

More than a thousand regular, casual, and job order employees who had rendered service when the city was placed under enhanced community quarantine in April will each receive a maximum hazard pay of P500 per day, a media release from the city public information office said.

The SP had approved the appropriation during its regular session Wednesday, as provided for under Department of Budget and Management Circular No. 2020-1.*PNA
