NODJ offers reward
for escapees recapture
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

The Negros Occidental District Jail is offering P10,000 reward each for the two inmates who escaped from its detention facility in Brgy. Tabunan, Bago City, Monday.

Chief Inspector Norberto Miciano Jr., NODJ warden, yesterday identified the two jail escapees as Jimmy Sablon of Brgy. Robles, La Castellana, and Ramonito Ventura of Brgy.Buenavista, Murcia.

Initial investigation showed that Sablon and Ventura escaped by sawing off the iron grills of their detention cell, Miciano said.

Sablon and Ventura are facing frustrated murder and robbery charges, respectively.

Miciano said that pursuit operations against the fleeing inmates are still ongoing and has called on the families of the fugitives not to harbor them to avoid criminal liability.

The reward of P10,000 each is expected by NODJ management to hasten the recapture of the two fugitives.

Miciano said that they are also investigating the jail guards on duty.*
