The police seized about P300,000 worth of suspected shabu during buy-bust operations in the cities of San Carlos and Talisay, Negros Occidental, that also resulted in the arrest of two drug suspects Saturday.

The buy-bust operation in Brgy. Rizal, San Carlos City, led to the seizure of about 40 grams of suspected shabu with a street market value of P272,000 and its assorted paraphernalia, as well as P1,500 in marked money.

A certain Jover Alcoriza of Fatima Village, Brgy. Rizal, San Carlos City, was apprehended by the police during the operation.

Another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Bubog, Talisay City resulted in the arrest of Joselito Baleros, who was categorized by the police as a Street Level Individual drug suspect.

The apprehension of Baleros yielded an estimated four grams of suspected shabu, worth P27,200, a report of the Talisay City Police Station said.

Two other suspects were also apprehended by the police Sunday in Pontevedra and Sagay City, Negros Occidental, for illegal possession of firearms.

The arrest of Fernando Fundador in Brgy.Recreo, Pontevedra, as a result of the implementation of a search warrant issued by Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez yielded an improvised 12 gauge shotgun, police said.
