Parts of Brgy 3 locked down
BY CHRYSEE G. SAMILLANO

A portion of three puroks in Barangay 3, Bacolod City have been placed under lockdown due to a number of COVID-19 positive patients in the area, Barangay Captain Leonidas “Bob” Asan said yesterday.

These are Puroks Cereza South, Langka Zone 2 and Kamonsil, all in Barangay 3, Asan said.

He added that the lockdown order in Purok Lubi was already lifted although there are still some COVID-19 patients.

Asansaid there are also a few families placed under home quarantine in Purok Cereza North and Purok Cereza South, as well as in Puroks Kamonsil, Langka Zone 1 and Langka Zone 2.

The affected families are being provided food assistance from the city government and from Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya. The rest are being provided by the barangay, Asan said.

He is asking for the understanding of his constituents, who have been inconvenienced by the lockdown, stressing that the local government is only doing its job to protect them.

Asan said he tries to talk to the people and explain to them the situation before making his decision.*
