Flash flood kills 1 in city

The body of a man, believed to have been carried away by a flash flood in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City on Tuesday, was found in the waters of Calong-Calong, Zone 4 in Barangay Singcang-Airport, at about 7:10 a.m. yesterday.

The victim was identified by his family members as Rico Mirasol Sr., of Barangay Mansilingan.

Fisherman Glenn Aragon discovered the body about 2 kilometers from the seashore, police records show, adding that a lacerated wound was found in his forehead.

Mirasol’s kin reported him missing Tuesday afternoon, after a flash flood triggered by the heavy rain, swept him away in a river in Purok Kahirup B, Barangay Mansilingan.*
