End pandemic, residents pray
BY SHIELA G. GELERA

The youth of Barangay Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City recently led vigils participated in by residents to pray that the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic will end soon.

Wearing face masks and practicing social distancing, families gathered on the roads and in front of their houses to light candles and pray.

SK kagawad Djonald Andrade said in these trying times, prayer is the most important thing to do every day.

“It was very fulfilling to see how people prayed together and remained positive that everything will be back to normal very soon,” Djonald added.

The prayer vigil was held every 7 p.m. since April 27.*
