Gasataya asking Dole
to assist more workers

Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya has appealed to Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre Bello to provide more workers with assistance under the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) in Region 6 in consideration of the constitutional duty to promote the rights and welfare of the workers.

CAMP is a one-time financial support initiative provided by DOLE to employed workers. This assistance amounts to P5,000 each and is given to workers who have suffered an interruption of wages during the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Gasataya said he received reports from business establishments that their application for CAMP can no longer be accommodated by the DOLE as "the allocated budget has already been exhausted". moremoremore
