NFSP joins relief efforts vs. Covid

The National Federation of Sugarcane Planters (NFSP), headed by Enrique Rojas, through the NFSP Multi-Purpose Cooperative which he also leads, joined the relief efforts for people adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic recently, its press release said.

In this endeavor, the Bacolod City Cooperative Development Office, the City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office, and the Cooperative Development Authority – Bacolod City Office encouraged their member-cooperatives in the city to share, as part of the cooperative’s core values and social responsibility, whatever support and assistance they can offer to those affected by the pandemic.

Suggested contributions were alcohol, face masks, rice, canned goods, coffee, milk, sugar, noodles, and other food items.

Target beneficiaries are medical health workers, frontliners and other Bacolodnons, whose livelihoods were severely hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic.

NFSP–MPC donated several boxes of canned goods.

“This is our way of acknowledging the contributions of our health workers and frontliners, and also our way of helping the less-fortunate Bacolodnons affected by this crisis,” Rojas said in the press release.*
