Mall denies Covid rumors
BY CHRYSEE G. SAMILLANO

SM Supermalls had conducted voluntary COVID-19 antibody rapid testing on all its employees and agency frontliners in a venue outside their mall premises, in their commitment to create a safe and healthy environment for everyone.

SM City Bacolod has not received any reports from the Department of Health nor the local government (LGU) of Bacolod City on any positive case for COVID-19 related to the mall employees or its tenants as of this time, a press release from the company said, contrary to information circulating online that “five janitors of SM and the sales force of SM Supermarket tested positive during a swab test conducted so that the mall and grocery might close for disinfection.”

“We would like to remind the public that only the DOH or LGU can release any official report on positive or negative COVID-19 cases. We encourage everyone not to engage with any information being circulated from other sources,” the press release added.*
