Bacolod City had a new Covid-19 positive case yesterday, the Department of Health announced.
Covid Case No. 21 is a 52-year-old female resident of Barangay Handumanan, who returned to Bacolod on a sweeper flight from Manila on May 26, Bacolod Councilor Cindy Rojas said.
She travelled to Bacolod City with a relative, a 35-year-old LSI from Barangay Alijis tagged as Bacolod Case No. 19, who also tested positive for COVID-19, Rojas added.
The 52-year-old is currently home-quarantined with her household contacts in Barangay Handumanan, Rojas said.
The patient has been asymptomatic and will be subjected to a repeat RT-PCR test next week, Rojas added.
Western Visayas now has 136 Covid-19 positive cases, 29 of which are active, 96 recovered and 11 deaths.*
