BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

A 55-year-old teacher was found dead inside her residence in Purok 10, Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, Wednesday.

Maj. Romeo Vargas, Himamaylan City officer-in-charge, yesterday identified the victim as Cecilia Adorador, a teacher of the Aguisan Elementary School, who succumbed to head injuries.

Vargas said that their initial investigation showed that the victim was alone in her room when two suspects forcibly entered her residence through a window.

While inside, the suspects hit the victim on the head with dumbbells, the Himamaylan police said.

The lifeless body of the victim inside her room, with blood all over her face and head, was discovered by her nephew.

Vargas said the suspects also ransacked the house of the victim as her personal belongings were in disarray.

The exact of amount of cash and value of jewelry taken by the perpetrators, who appeared to be familiar with the house of the victim, are still being determined by Himamaylan City police probers.

Vargas said they are still gathering more evidences against two possible suspects whom they are now closely monitoring.*
