‘Bubble’ eyed for PBA season restart

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is considering a bubble option just for its 45th season to finally resume amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

The PBA board will is scheduled to convene in September to determine if the season would push through by mid-October or not.

PBA board chairman Ricky Vargas said he believes the bubble is the only way for the league to push through with all of its remaining games after a long delay caused by the quarantine measures imposed to contain the outbreak.

Thai foe in URCC event

Unbeaten fighter Denice Zamboanga looks to further build up for a possible showdown with One women's atomweight champion Angela Lee at One: A New Breed at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on Friday night.

Zamboanga, currently at 6-0, will take on Watsyapinya Kaewkhong of Thailand in one of three fights in the card.

A win by Zamboanga, the number one ranked women's atomweight right now, will further cement her bid to challenge Lee for the latter's title belt in the near future.
