Man caught in drug-bust

A man tagged by the police as a street-level individual was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Saturn, Phase 6B in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City, at about 7 p.m. Sunday.

Station 10 policemen nabbed Romy Estraves, 24, of the barangay, with three sachets of suspected shabu, worth P3,000, and P200 in marked money, police records show.

Estraves is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 10, and he may face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the police said.

Meanwhile, 44 more individuals were apprehended for violating the curfew in Bacolod on Sunday.

The apprehension brought to 764 the number of curfew violators caught, so far, in Bacolod this month.*
