96 curfew violators caught


Ninety-six individuals were nabbed for violating curfew in Bacolod City, Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, 49 violators were apprehended in barangays 12, Mandalagan, Estefania, Villamonte, Granada, Mansilingan, Pahanocoy, Tangub, and Handumanan, the Bacolod City Police Office reported.

On Saturday, 47 persons were also caught violating the curfew in barangays 14, 3, Mandalagan, Bata, Estefania, Villamonte, Granada, Taculing, Mansilingan, Pahanocoy, Tangub, and Sum-ag, the records show.

It added that there were already 720 curfew violators arrested, so far, this month.

Meanwhile, two fishermen were apprehended for allegedly engaging in an illegal fishing activity in the coastal area of Bacolod City, Thursday.

Personnel of Bantay Dagat and Station 9 caught Joefrey Argelion and Joel Cuaren, both of Barangay Tangub in Bacolod, a police report said.

Argelion and Cuaren were fined and their case was referred to the barangay, police records show.*
