P408K in ‘shabu’ seized in Talisay


Policemen seized about P408,000 worth of suspected shabu from an arrested suspect, considered a High Value Individual drug personality, during a buy-bust operation in Purok Mapalaron, Brgy. Zone 12, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, yesterday.

The joint buy-bust operation of the Talisay and Silay City Police Stations led to the arrest of Raymund Horario, alias Pirot, of Purok Ipil-Ipil, Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City.

Horario is alleged by the police to be a member of the Michael Divinagracia Drug Group.

The apprehension of Horario yielded about 60 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P408,000, and P3,500 in marked money, Maj. Jigger Gimeno, Talisay City police officer-in-charge, said.

On Tuesday, policemen also apprehended a 16-year-old, whose identity is being withheld, during a buy-bust operation at Carmela Executive Village in Brgy. Zone 12, also in Talisay City.

The apprehension of the minor yielded 4.5 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P30,600 and its paraphernalia, P1,000 in marked money and P600 in cash.

On the same day, Robert Venarta, alias Bochoy, was also apprehended by the police for a similar violation in Purok Yakal in Brgy. San Teodoro, Binalbagan.

The buy-bust operation, yielded 0.90 gram of suspected shabu, worth P2,000, two disposable plastic tubes with traces of suspected shabu, and P150 in cash, the Binalbagan police said.*
