Hinobaan implements temporary ban
on tourist-related, non-essential travel

The temporary ban on tourist-related and non-essential travel to Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, is now in effect.

This was after Hinoba-an Mayor Ernesto Estrao issued an executive order yesterday providing additional health and safety protocols for travel of residents to and from Bacolod City and other hot zones within Negros Occidental.

Only essential and indispensable travel to Bacolod City and other hot zones is permitted for Hinoba-an residents for the duration of a maximum period of 48 hours as long they present the required documents, Estrao said.

The executive order issued by Estrao also imposes a temporary ban on tourist-related and non-essential travel to Hinoba-an.

Travelling Hinoba-an residents who exceed 48 hours stay in Bacolod and other high-risk areas of Negros Occidental, will be required to undergo facility quarantine, and those who refuse will be denied re-entry to the town, Estrao ordered.

Confirmed reservations of tourists outside Hinoba-an will be rescheduled, and non-essential travel and visits to family and friends of those residing outside the municipality will be temporarily and strictly prohibited, the executive order said.

Appropriate administrative or criminal charges, in accordance with the law, will be imposed on violators.*
