Pinthus completes United City roster

The Azkals Developmental Team (ADT) has opted to loan its main goalkeeper, Anthony Pinthus, to United City, the club that replaced Ceres-Negros FC in the Philippines Football League.

On Thursday, the former Ceres Negros club announced that Pinthus will join its roster on a loan deal for the 2020 Philippines Football League season.

Pinthus played for the Under-22 Azkals during last year's Southeast Asian Games.

The group makes up the core of the ADT, which is being groomed to become major forces for the Azkals' first team in the future.

However, while Pinthus remains an official member of the ADT, the loan and United City's acquisition of Pocholo Bugas and Stallion Laguna's signing of Finn McDaniel assure that the U22 Azkals will not be in full force for the ADT this season.

Pinthus completes the lineup for United City, which includes Stephan Shrock, OJ Porteria, Sean Kane, Ron Bayan, Jun Badelic, Angelo Marasigan, Robert Mendy, Arnie Pasinabo, Tristan Robles, Dennis Villanueva, Joshua Dutosme Takashi Odawara, Hikaru Minegishi, Manny and Mike Ott, Jordan Jarvis, Jorrel Aristorenas, Bugas, and Jose Miguel Clarino.

The team is yet to announce its head coach following the announcement of former Ceres-Negros manager Risto Vidakovic that he is not joining the new team.

Vidakovic was with Ceres-Negros since 2016 and has been instrumental in the club's dominance in the PFL for the past three seasons.

He led the club to the 2018 AFC Cup Asean Region championship and came just one win away from making a breakthrough appearance in the group stages of the AFC Champions League.*PNA
