Drug den dismantled
BY SHIELA G. GELERA

A drug den was dismantled and six suspects were arrested in Purok Kitahanon, Barangay Banago in Bacolod City, at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Occidental, assisted, by PDEA teams from Iloilo, Aklan, and Antique, conducted a buy-bust operation in Purok-Kitahanon and arrested from an alleged drug den Ronie Emalon, alias “Black”, John Michael Corsino, Iryll Benjamin, Elbert dela Cruz, Harold Jagolino, and Joseph Christian Descutido, the PDEA-6 reported.

The operation also yielded about 12 grams of suspected shabu, worth P81,600, improvised tooters, lighters, and the buy-bust money, records show.

Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court against the apprehended persons.*
