Sipalay to ban tourists until Aug. 31

Sipalay City officials will temporarily ban the entry of tourists in their locality due to the spike of COVID-19 cases.

Mayor Maria Gina Lizares issued an executive order on Monday imposing a moratorium on tourism-related and non-essential travel to the city from August 14 to 31.

Under the EO, all pre-booked accommodations of tourists for the duration of the moratorium will be rebooked by the resorts and accommodation establishments.

La Castellana coop gets
P4.74M in assistance

A cooperative in La Castellana received P4.744 million in assistance from the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) for the Negros Swine Integrated Enterprise.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the turnover of the check to Judith Obordo, La Castellana 1–Personnel Multi-Purpose Cooperative chairperson, at the Provincial Capitol Monday.

They were joined by Albert Barrogo PRDP Region 6 Deputy Project Director, Ma. Lina Sanogal, Provincial Project Management and Implementing Unit Head and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, and Lorna Dumancas of LC1–PMPC.
