Teen shoots Cabug resident
BY SHIELA G. GELERA

A teenager shot and wounded a man in Purok Monico Ville, Barangay Cabug in Bacolod City, at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

Jolito Lambayong, a resident of Barangay. Cabug, sustained a gunshot wound on the hip and was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, a police report said.

Investigation showed that the suspect identified as Peter Allera, 19, also of Cabug, shot Lambayong with a homemade shotgun.

The police said Lambayong, who was under the influence of liquor, was sitting on a wooden chair when Allera shot him.

Old grudges may have triggered the shooting, the police said.

Allera was arrested in a follow-up operation in Purok Saturn, Barangay Handumanan in Bacolod.

He is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 9.*
