MBCCI official issues tips
to keep businesses afloat
BY MARCHEL P. ESPINA

The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry issued tips on how to keep businesses afloat amid the economic recession due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Frank Carbon, chief executive officer of MBCCI, advised business owners to offer delivery services or connect with delivery service providers.

He recommended that the food stocks in the restaurant kitchens and freezers can be offered for sale at a discounted price, adding that they can convert their stocks to cash.

Go wants PhilHealth
officials suspended

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go yesterday said he wants the suspension of Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) officials while investigation on corruption against them is ongoing.

Go said the suspension would prevent PhilHealth officials from influencing the ongoing investigation being conducted by the newly-formed task force led by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The Senate and the House of Representatives as well as the Office of the Special Assistant to the President and the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) are also conducting separate investigations on anomalies hounding the state insurer.
