OPD at CLMMRH to reopen Wednesday
BY CARLA P. GOMEZ

The Out-Patient Department of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City will resume operations on Wednesday, Dr. Julius Drilon, CLMMRH chief, said yesterday.

The OPD was locked down this week after a patient tested positive for COVID-19.

Four doctors and two nurses at the hospital have also tested positive for the virus.

The CLMMRH Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Department of Pediatrics will not accept any admissions until further notice, Drilon also said.

The Department of Surgery will limit its admission only to extreme emergency cases until further notice, he said.

This is because 88 CLMMRH health care workers will remain isolated until they complete their 10-day quarantine period despite their Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) negative test results for COVID-19, he said.

All other CLMMRH medical departments that include emergency services will remain operational, he added.

Drilon called on the public to be responsible by wearing face masks and face shields at all times, and to observe physical distancing of at least 6 feet in public places.

“With your cooperation, we will win the fight against COVID-19,” he said.*
