Araneta, Yanson PFF clash
stir up football community

Two days before the election for presidency of the Philippine Football Federation, incumbent PFF chief Mariano “Nonong” Araneta presented his plans for the next four years, if he will be re-elected.

In a press release, Araneta said that his 4-year plan will see a revitalized Philippines Football League (PFL) that will also usher in more youth and age-group tournaments.

Also seeking the PFF presidency is Negros Occidental Football Association president Ricardo Yanson Jr., who had been all over the country, recently, establishing a football grassroot program.

MANILA – The substitute magic worked again in a Southeast Asian Games men's football match involving the Philippine team.

However, it was Myanmar which got lucky this time.

Substitute Win NaingTun made wonders off the bench for the Burmese team as it turned back the under-22 Azkals, 2-1, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium last night.
