P4.3B budget okay set

The proposed 2020 P4.3 billion budget for Negros Occidental may be approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan tomorrow, Board Member Rommel Debulgado, SP budget committee chair, said yesterday.

The hearing on the budgets of all the provincial government departments has been completed, Debulgado said.

He will propose the approval of the 2020 budget at the SP session tomorrow, he added.

The proposed General Fund for 2020 is P4.2 billion, while P121 million will be for the Economic Enterprise Department operations.

The proposed general fund will come from tax revenue of P98,000,000, non tax revenue of P379,957,719 million and the Internal Revenue Allotment of P3,725,935,964 for a total of P4,203,893,683.

Debulgado said the Capitol has available funds for the granting of extra bonuses to its employees, it is just a matter of finding the right justification for its release.*
