Three police officers hurt
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Three police personnel suffered minor injuries after their patrol vehicle figured in a collision with a passenger tricycle at the national highway of Brgy. San Jose, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.

The victims were identified as PMaj. Jomar Medil, Cpl. Benito Menierva and PCpl. Jun-al Bulgado, assigned at the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office.

Investigations of the Tanjay City police showed that the Toyota Hi- Lux vehicle driven by Menierva flipped over after hitting a tricycle driven by a 14-year-old, with another minor as passenger.

The victims were on their way to Tanjay City Police Station, on board a police vehicle, when the tricycle driven by the minor suddenly turned left, without any warning.

Although Menierva tried to avoid the collision, the police vehicle still hit the tricycle from behind, and turned turtle in the process.

The three police personnel were brought to a clinic in Tanjay City for treatment of their injuries.*
