Overseas Filipino Workers in Hong Kong and the MassKara dancers of the One Negros Association recently performed at the annual Philippine Independence Day and the “Kapangyawan Festival” in Hong Kong.
The One Negros Association was invited by the Philippine Consulate to perform and be part of the Independence Day activity, Asher Joseph Nales, association adviser who is from Sagay City, said in a press release.
The original MassKara dancers of Bacolod had also previously performed in China where they won over performers from other countries.
The activity is a way to highlight Filipino culture and artistry, and to strengthen the ties between Hong Kong and the Philippines, Nales said
