Duterte allies to join
brgy oathtaking rites

Two allies of President Rodrigo Duterte will attend the mass oath-taking ceremonies of the newly elected barangay captains and kagawads of Bacolod City at 2 p.m. today at the SMX Convention Center Bacolod.

Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis Tolentino will administer the oath of office of the barangay officials.

Rep. Zajid Mangudadatu (Maguindanao, 2nd District) will deliver a message.

Both are expected to run for senator under the administration banner in 2019.

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia said he has known Tolentino since 1995 when they were both mayors.

He also said Mangudadatu was his seatmate at the Batasang Pambansa when he was congressman from 2013 to 2016.

Leonardia, Rep. Greg Gasataya, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and Interior and Local Government-Bacolod director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag will deliver messages.*
