A chance to join world-class football camps in Malaysia and Europe await young Negrense booters who joined in the TM Football Para sa Bayan clinic held in Sta. Maria Football Field, Talisay City yesterday.

Fernando Esguerra, Globe Telecom Director for Citizenship, said among the 144 Negros players, aged 10-12, who underwent the clinic will be selected to fill in the 12 slots for the Philippines bound for the Astro Kem Bola Advanced Training Programme in Kuala Lumpur in September.

The team dominated the sayaw or forms event in the tournament participated by arnisadors from different countries all over the world.

The Filipinos players carted away 22 gold medals, 20 silvers and six bronzes, nine golds more than Team USA, which had a 13-7-10 gold-silver-bronze medal haul.

Sprint 4T Racer halted the winning streak of Sprint 4T Enduro, 103-89, in the 35 and Up of the Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2016 at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym in Bacolod City.

An explosive 40-point output in the second quarter pushed Racer to a 55-42 halftime lead as Rey Pandoro scored 12 points, Arvin Gustilo added 11 and Mark Yee with 10 points while Ritchie Militante tried to salvage the situation for Enduro with 15 points and Ren Ren Lacson adding six markers.
