Gilas 5 dominates India
as win streak continues

The Philippines caught fire in the second half to blow past India, 99-65, at the close of Group E action in the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship.

The Filipinos topped their group and will face Lebanon in the quarterfinals tomorrow.

India had a good start, leading after the first quarter, 17-16, before the Filipinos got their bearings and proceeded to take over. Coach Tab Baldwin's wards had a strong second period to take the lead at the halftime break, and broke the game wide open in the last two quarters, building a lead as high as 37 points.

US volleyball coaches
to hold clinic in Cebu

American volleyball coaches Eric Hodgson and Michelle Goodall, currently in the Philippines under the U.S. Department of State's Sports Envoy Program, will be in Cebu City today to conduct a volleyball clinic for 50 girls from the Visayas and Mindanao at the University of San Carlos.

Michelle Goodall has more than 24 years of experience directing and coaching volleyball programs. She is currently the Director of Membership Development for the Iowa Region of USA Volleyball. She is also a member of USA Volleyball's Paralympic and Grassroots Commissions.
