Ponce Automobile Corp. registers 3rd
straight win in Fil-Sino caging

Ponce Automobile Corp. dominated New Nelson's Furniture, 106-75, to nail its third straight win in Class A of the FIl-Sino Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

In the other game, Pacific Motor Parts toppled Campuestohan Highlands Resort, 99-85.

Ponce took a slim 22-21 opening quarter advantage but dominated the second and third quarter to pull away with the victory.

Four players scored five or more points in the second quarter for Ponce with Yan Yan Dy and Randell Uy combining for 15 points for a 55-37 lead.

Michael Ang and Rey Pandoro delivered six points each to post a commanding 78-48 advantage going to the fourth quarter.

Ponce was led by Ang as he knocked down five triples for 17 points, while Emil Guanzon finished with 14 points, Uy added 11., Arnol laureñ0, Dy and Peter Paul Ortaliz picked up 10 points each, and Dk Equipaje and Jason Yap with 8 points apiece.

Joshua Co led Nelson's with 16 points as Arvin Gustilo added 14 points, Romar Desusa made 9, Oliver Manaloto and Eugene Tsai had 7 points each.

Meanwhile, Campuestohan had a promising start with a 23-21 lead in the second quarter but it was a different story in the next quarters as Carlo Chu scored 12 points to put Pacific on top at halftime, 49-41.

This shifted the momentum to Pacific as they slowly increased their lead in the next two quarters with Robbie Jalandoon and Ramon Khey hitting 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Jalandoon paced Pacific with 16 points while Khey tallied 14 and Vidal with 11 points.

Campuestohan was led by Lo with 15 points while Binguan added 14 markers.*
