Marayo cited top
rural bank in Region VI

The Rural Bank of Marayo Inc. was named the Most Outstanding Rural Bank for Region 6 for 2006 by the Land Bank of the Philippines for its outstanding accomplishments and lasting contributions in its area of operations, a press release from the bank said.

In the award, presented by LBP chairman, Secretary Margarito Teves, and president Gilda Pico, Marayo Rural Bank was cited as one of Land Bank's most effective and active partners in countryside credit delivery, thereby helping fasttrack progress for the benefit of its clients and the community it serves, the press release said.

The main office of Marayo Rural Bank is located in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental. It has two branches, in E.B Magalona, Negros Occidental and in Banate, Iloilo. Its officers are Franklin Fuentebella, chairman; Jesus Campos Jr., president; Aurora Fuentebella, secretary; Lucia Quisumbing, Teresa Ortiz and Grace Escario, directors, and Joebet Cuaycong, independent director, the press release added.*
