Pay hikes, bonus
ok'd at Capitol

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental yesterday approved a supplemental budget for P87,499,992, giving the more than 2,000 Capitol employees reason to rejoice. The appropriation included the anniversary bonus and salary increases of Capitol employees.

Governor Joseph Maraņon, in his letter to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, earmarked a P3,000 anniversary bonus for each employees with a total amount of P6.9 million. Maraņon also allocated P18, 806,047 for salary increases of Capitol employees.

Other appropriations included in supplemental budgets of the province and its Economic Development Department are the payment for the loan to the Land Bank of the Philippines of P29.3 million;

Construction of the new Escalante Hospital- P10 million, inter-fund transfer to the Economic Enterprise Development Department - P11,470,330, various priority projects - P8.1 million, re-appropriations of program and projects -P7.1 million; grants and donations - P3.2 million, terminal leave benefits - P2 million, among others.

The SP also approved the supplemental budget of the Economic Enterprise Development Department of Negros Occidental, of P11,470,330.10.*GPB
