BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Two motorcycle drivers died, while seven others were injured in two vehicular accidents in La Castellana and Ilog, Negros Occidental, Saturday.

Both motorcycle drivers, identified as Selvano Pasuit and Danny Dupio, were declared dead on arrival at the La Castellana Rural Health Clinic and Kabankalan District Hospital, respectively, the police reported yesterday.

Police investigation showed that the motorcycle of Pasuit collided with that driven by Felix Tonggoy at Sitio Bungyod, Brgy. Cabacungan, La Castellana.

The collision led to the injuries of Tonggoy and his two back riders, identified as Jonathan Jonggoy and Rochelle Solen, 16, who had attended a fiesta in Brgy. Cabacungan, La Castellana, and the death of Pasuit, a resident of Brgy. Montilla, Moises Padilla.

Dupio succumbed to fatal head injuries, after his motorcycle bumped a tricycle, also on Saturday at Km 111 in Brgy. Dancalan, Ilog, Negros Occidental.

A resident of Km 112 of the same barangay, Dupio 45, was declared dead on arrival at the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City, police said.

Also injured were Renmark Sarguilla, a student, who was driving the tricycle, Genevieve Celajes and Riza Juliano, both 17 years old, and Shiela Mae Tabion, 18, all students of Tabu National High School, who were also brought in the same hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Juliano, who suffered head injuries, however, was later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City, for further treatment.*
