Rotary Club of Bacolod holds
medical mission in Binalbagan
Almost 623 residents of Barangay Payao in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, have availed of free medical services, feeding, and gift-giving conducted by the Rotary Club of Bacolod, the San Blas Academy Batch '85, and project partners, at the barangay covered-court gymnasium recently.
The mission and feeding program focused on remote communities having limited access to basic healthcare, a press release from the club said.
Residents underwent medical consultations and free check-up, and received prescription medicines for free.
The outreach was participated in by volunteer-doctors from the Binalbagan Municipal Health unit, Himamaylan City Health unit, 5th District Local Health Zone, and the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center, in coordination with officials of Brgy. Payao, the press release said.
The gift-giving activity was led by Rotary Club of Bacolod president Frederick Anthony de Leon, with The Rotary Foundation director Pauline Cauycong, director Marjorie Dino, Rotaractor VP Mikhail Molbog of the Rotaract Club of Bacolod-Community Based, the Rotaractors, and the alumni of San Blas Academy Batch '85.
Benefactors included Rep. Marilou Arroyo (Neg. Occ., 5th District), Binalbagan Mayor Alejandro Mirasol, Himamaylan City Mayor Raymund Tongson, Ariel Mirasol of Noceco, Rotarian Horace and Jojit Yap, Luanne Diesto, Wende Yap, and Drs. Kaye Marie Yap, Paolo Cuaycong, Andrick Ama, Lyle Ladera, Alan Ramos, Pagunsan, and Mef Estanda, among others, the press release added.*
