Teenager kills brother

A 17-year-old boy was declared dead on arrival at a hospital, after he was hit with a piece of wood by his younger brother yesterday at Purok Ballo in Brgy. Tagucon, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, police said.

Police investigation showed that the victim was making a chicken cage, when a heated argument ensued between him and his 15-year-old brother.

After he noticed that the victim was armed with a knife, the suspect hit him with a piece of wood on the head,  the police said.

The victim died at the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City, while the suspect was at large, the police added.

Meanwhile, a drug suspect identified by the police as Gerald Sermonia was arrested  during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City, yesterday.

The apprehension of Sermonia, 26, yielded P10,000 worth of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money and P150 in cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs, police said.*
