No new Covid cases in Region 6

Good news, there were no new COVID-19 positive cases and deaths in the entire Western Visayas, based on test results, as of Sunday, a Department of Health official announced yesterday.

    Dr. Ma. Sophia Pulmones of the DOH Western Visayas, in a virtual press conference, also said there were seven COVID-positive patients in the region who have recovered.

    There are 40 COVID-positive cases in Western Visayas.

    The lone COVID-19 positive patient in Negros Occidental has recovered, while of the seven in Bacolod City, one is admitted, three are undergoing home quarantine, two recovered, and one had died, Pulmones said.

       The Bacolod City Health Office, however, said  five of the seven  have  clinically recovered.

    The age range of those affected was 22 to 94 years old, and the most affected age group was 41 to 50 years old, Pulmones reported.

    In Negros Occidental, the number of Persons Under Monitoring for COVID-19 dropped from 1,213 on Sunday to 536 yesterday, a Provincial Incident Management Team report said.*
