Enhanced tourism seen

The provision of an area for the Association of Negros Producers’ showroom next to the Negros Forest Park at the South Capitol Road in Bacolod City by the provincial government, will enhance tourism activity in the area, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Monday.

The Negros Forest Park is home to wildlife endemic to Negros and the showroom will showcase Negros products, he pointed out.

A memorandum of agreement is being drawn up that will probably grant the ANP a 50-year use of the site for purposes of promoting Negros products, he said.

Meanwhile, a new site for the Negros First Global Institute of Technology near the Fountain Grove area along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road, is being eyed, he said.

The Talisay property is being donated to the provincial government, he said, and the deed of donation is under study.*
