The sugar industry that contributes more than P120 billion annually to the growth and development of the Philippine economy, is again under siege by the economic managers who set their eyes our industry with their proposed liberalization of sugar importation, notwithstanding the crisis in rice and livestock industries, and other agriculture sectors, Paolo Severino of the National Federation of Sugarcane Planters said. moremoremore
