Two killed, 2 injured

Unidentified armed men shot and killed two persons in Cauayan and Hinobaan, Negros Occidental, while two others were injured in separate stabbing and hacking incidents in Negros Occidental.

Antonietta Baldado reported to the Hinobaan police that her husband, Nilo, 54, was shot dead by two of five armed suspects, without any apparent reason, on Thursday.

Motorcycle driver Ronel Devilay, 34, was on his way home in Brgy. Man-uling, Cauayan, when he was also shot and killed by a still unidentified gunman, on the same day.

Devilay, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, from a .45 caliber pistol.

The victim was declared dead on arrival at the Cauayan District Hospital, while the police recovered four empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

The two shooting incidents are still being investigated by the police.

Purok president Zaldy Francisco, 45, was also injured on Wednesday, when he was stabbed, allegedly by Ryan Omaño, in Brgy. Central Tabao, Valladolid.

The victim, who was hit in the left arm, is now being treated for his stab wound at a private hospital in Bacolod City, while the suspect is now in jail.

Mark Magbanua, 38, was injured when he was hacked allegedly by a certain Tony Lapore and two other unidentified suspects also on Wednesday, in Purok Balatong in Brgy. Gil Montilla, Sipalay City.

The Sipalay CPS received a phone call from Punong Barangay Gemma Trio of Brgy. Gil Montilla, informing that hacking incident and that the victim was brought to Sipalay City District Hospital. Team, under the supervision and control of PLTCOL Necerato Sabando Jr., OIC.

Initial investigation showed that, the victim was drinking liquor at a videoke house, when he was hacked by the suspects. He was brought to the Sipalay City District Hospital, but later transferred to Bacolod City for further treatment, while the suspects fled.*
