Canieso gets higher position
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Newly-promoted Negrense Brig. Gen. Remus Zacharias Canieso got a higher position in the Philippine National Police as Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Plans, following his transfer from Police Regional Office 6 to Camp Crame.

Canieso was replaced as Deputy Regional Director for Administration of Police Regional Office 6 by PCol. Alexander Sampaga effective Nov. 21, regional police spokesman Lt. Col. Joem Malong said yesterday.

Police Brigadier General Joselito Pajarillaga was also designated by PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Francisco Gamboa as Executive Officer of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) Visayas.

Newly-promoted Maj. Gen. Celso Pestaño, who used to be assigned in Negros Occidental, has been designated as head of the DIPO- Southern Luzon.

The latest reorganization of the occupying key positions were prompted by the recent retirements of some PNP officers.*
