A high-value target facing drugs charges but was out from jail after availing of a plea bargaining agreement, was arrested again with P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, at about 3:10 p.m. yesterday, the police said.
Operatives of the Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust and nabbed Mohaisin Magondacan, Police Lt. Col. Ariel Pico, Bacolod City Police Office public information officer, said yesterday.
The arrest of Magondacan yielded 25 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 100 grams, police records show.
Pico said Magondacan and his family had transferred to Bacolod at the height of Marawi Siege.
Magondacan was arrested for engaging in illegal drugs in 2018. He availed of a plea bargaining agreement and is now under probation, Pico said.
Magondacan is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 7 and may face another charge for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Pico added.*
