“R love on Display” is the theme of Robinson's Place Bacolod this Christmas Season to showcase not just one but three Christmas attractions.
These are the 35-foot Christmas tree adorned with elegant ornaments and reindeers at the mall's main atrium, the Trees on Trees which gives off a modern Filipiniana look, and the Suga Sang Paskua, its long running parol making competition in partnership with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology of Negros Occidental, the latter two located at the mall's Central Walk.
Bacolod First Lady Elsa Leonardia led the ceremonial lighting of the Yuletide Christmas Tree together with Provincial Planning and Development Officer Marlin Sanogal, BJMP representatives SJO4 Jason Baltazar and JO1 Juan Ken Ignacio and Robinson's marketing communications officer for VisMin Christine Tomas.
Tomas yesterday said their campaign for this season is about making the mall an avenue for all to celebrate and create lasting memories with families and friends.
“In the spirit of giving, we manifest ‘R Love to Share’ with a gift giving to the young students of Purok Carvic Day Care Center in Brgy. Mandalagan and through the Wish Upon a Star, our annual benefit activity in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bacolod, wherein we bring together kids of Suntown Camp Foundation street children, and children from selected indigenous communities of Negros Occidental through the help of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples,” she said.
Wish Upon a Star started in 1998.
Robinson's fourth tree lighting ceremony was followed by the distribution by the guests together with Santa Claus of early Christmas gifts to the students of Carvic Day Care Center.
Michael Tambasen rendered Christmas songs on his saxophone after the program.*
