Innovative versions of squash, pineapple, and sardines were featured in this year’s Organic Food Products Olympics at the Provincial Capitol grounds in Bacolod City yesterday.

The activity is part of the ongoing 14th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival that kicked off Wednesday.

Thirty-six individuals from different towns and cities participated in the food olympics initiated by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

The sales generated in the ongoing 14th Negros Island Organic Farmers’ Festival at the provincial Capitol grounds in Bacolod City had reached P580,624, as of yesterday.

The initial sales posted on the first day was P229,996 while P350,628 in profit was gained the following day.

This year, the festival, on the theme “Organic is love, integrity, fairness, and ecology”, featured 85 exhibitors from the different towns and cities in Negros.
