Rejects, Akasya, Huaming win
in Ayala 35 Below basketball

 

Ayala-A Rejects opened its season for Ayala Basketball Club 35 Below category with a convincing 90-78 win over Ayala – B at the Northpoint Gym.

The rejects took control of the game from the opening tip with a 14-0 run but Kristoffer Co responded for Ayala-B to keep his team within striking distance.

In the second half, Ayala-A Rejects stepped on the gas pedal and never looked back as Dodoy Agana paced his team with 16 points, while Richard Arroyo delivered 14 points, and Jonel Ucab with 12 points.

Kristoffer Co sizzled from the rainbow country making eight 3-pointers to finish with 29 points in Ayala-B’s losing cause.

In the second game, Akasya Ayala rallied to beat BAPRO, 94-91.

After trailing in the first three quarters, Akasya’s duo of Christian Maravilla and Luigi de la Paz took charge in the final canto.

Maravilla, who topscored for his team with 25 markers, sealed the comeback with a drive to the basket to notch the final outcome and got scoring support from De la paz with 14 points.

Deles and Abrot led BAPRO with 16 and 15 points, respectively.

In the third game, Brian Coo’s putback in the dying seconds helped Huaming-Ayala escaped Southville Spartans.*
