Negros Occ rolls out first
govít-run robotic center

The province of Negros Occidental launched the first government-run robotics center in the country at the Negros Occidental Language and Information Center in Bacolod City yesterday.

Leading the launching of Negrense Robotics Program and Exhibits were Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Melvin Matulac - founder of Pinoy Robot Games, Board Member Rita Gatuslao, and Ma. Cristina Orbecido, vocational school administrator of NOLITC.

Matulac said the program has already started the online training of the five teachers from NOLITC, who will later teach the grade school pupils enrolled in the program.

Negrense farmers get
P86.82-M in rice seeds

The provincial government of Negros Occidental has started the distribution of P86.82-million rice seeds to local farmers under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) p rogram .

A total of 57,118.25 bags allocated for the province are up for distribution, with farmers from Valladolid receiving the first batch of seed assistance yesterday during the turnover rites at the Provincial Capitol grounds in Bacolod City, led by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.

Bago City received the bulk of the seed assistance with 9,615 bags, followed by Kabankalan with 5,590, Cauayan with 3,652, San Carlos City with 3,368, and Valladolid with 2,773.
