The provincial government of Negros Occidental featured the top tourist destinations of the province in the three-day North Philippines Tourism and Travel Expo at SM City Clark in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga that ended yesterday.
Cristine Mansinares, provincial supervising tourism operations officer, said the provincial government always joins the expo every year because it sees Central Luzon as a “big tourism market”, considering that there are moredirect flights from Clark, Pampanga to Bacolod City.
She said a lot of guests are taking this flight.
“We want to bring these potential tourists to Negros Occidental,” she added.
She said t his year's staging of the expo that kicked off on November 15 has a total of 105 exhibitors, including local government units, tour operators, and various corporate partners.
Representatives from the BacoLaodiat Festival and L’Fisher Hotel also accompanied the team from the Negros Occidental Tourism Office in this promotional effort, she said.
Department of Tourism-accredited tour operators from Bacolod also sent their marketing collaterals, highlighting nature-based, culinary, and cultural packages of the province, Mansinares added.*
