Driver dies, 5 hurt
in 3-vehicle mishap
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

A motorcycle driver died, and five others were injured, is a triple collision of vehicles Wednesday at the national highway of Purok Masinadyahon in Brgy. Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

Motorcycle driver Jojo Divinagracia died on the spot, while the injured were identified as Nielven Yasay, John Stephen Navas, Jesrel Teodosio, Kerwin Castro and Raymar Componion, the police said.

The Bago City police said the black Motorstar 100 cc motorcycle driven by Divinagracia was running from north to south, when his rear was bumped by a Kawasaki Barako tricycle driven by Componion, while he was attempting to make a left turn.

Both motorcycle and tricycle overlapped on the opposite lane, and were hit by a Fuzo cargo reefer van driven by John Rey Arita, which was running from south to north direction.

Componion and his four passengers were brought to the Bago City District Hospital, while Arita is now under the custody of the Bago City Police Station, pending further investigation of the incident.*
